The jury that evaluates the works submitted in 2007-2008 is composed of the following members:
Dr. Salvador Alsius, Dean of Journalism at the Pompeu Fabra University
Dr. Jordi Caïs, Professor of Sociology and Organizations Analysis at the University of Barcelona
Dr. Victoria Camps, Professor of Moral and Political Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Dr. Mirentxu Corcoy, Professor of Penal Law at the University of Barcelona.
Dr. Màrius Morlans, Member of the Welfare Ethics Committee at the Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona and spokesperson of the Jury.
The jury takes into account the following criteria in evaluating each category:
For the research prize: - Presentation and definition of the topic - Skill with which the issues are set out - Clarity of argumentation - Originality of contribution - Potential impact - Methodology - Bibliography
For the prize for journalistic work on bioethics: - Thematic interest and degree of relevance - Rigor with which information and opinions are presented - Formal style - Social impact - Range of points of view
For the research grants: - Presentation and definition of the subject - Skill with which the issues are set out - Originality of contribution - Curricular background - Potential impact - Methodology - Bibliography
